Severo Hernandez brings 12 years of sous chef experience to his role at Phoenix City Grille. Working at the likes of Sierra Bonita Grille and North Italia prior to coming to Phoenix City Grille, Hernandez excels at leading in the kitchen and motivating everyone to work to their fullest potential. While he has created many different types of cuisines, he specializes in Mexican and Italian.
Growing up in a large family in Oaxaca, Mexico, Hernandez was always involved in helping to prepare and cook meals for family gatherings and special occasions. He is inspired by those memories of making people happy and encouraging them to come together through food, to continue those traditions, put his skills to the test and guide others to do the same.
Hernandez takes joy in creating and recreating savory dishes as well working with other like-minded people in a fast-paced environment. He is excited to be part of the growing business at Phoenix City Grille and showcase his passion for cooking through new dishes and recipes.
In his spare time, Hernandez can be found cooking and grilling in his backyard for his family, traveling, thrifting and watching movies.
